Catechism Day celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church

On Sunday, March 3rd 2024, the annual catechism day was celebrated in a meaningful manner at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church ,Nirmalapadau. Fr Denis Dsouza, presided over the Eucharistic celebration at 8.30 am.

The parish children conducted the liturgy. The children's choir enhanced the ceremony's intensity and severity.

Fr Denis said in his homily, highlighted the importance of the Catechism to children. Catechism helps to build up and strengthen faith in one’s life. Also he highlighted the role of parents in the family in upbringing their children and the importance of family prayers in each one’s life .

Subsequently, the second part, the teachers were also honoured for their selfless service on Sundays in imparting knowledge of scripture and the teachings of the Church to the little minds.

Students who had shown the outstanding achievement in the Catechism exam were awarded with prizes.

Fr Denis D'Souza extended gratitude to the parents, for their support and services in making this catechism year a successful one.
