Nov 22, 2017: The seven-day long NSS Camp of Padua College of Commerce and Management with 77 volunteers and 10 staffs that had started in Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church on 17th November 2017 concluded on the note of unprecedented success on Tuesday, 22 November 2017. There was a sense of accomplishment among the organizers of the camp as well as the NSS volunteers who had come from Padua College.
A grand valedictory function was held at 7 p.m. am which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Vincent Lobo, Parish Priest, Nirmalapadau. Other dignitaries on the dais included Mr. Roshan Santhumayor, Vice Principal of Padua College, Mangalore. Mrs. Precilla Lobo, Secretary, Parish Council, Nirmalpadau. Mr. Shridara, NSS Coordinator of Padua college were present. Rev. Fr. Vincent Lobo, Parish Priest, Nirmalapadav who delivered the valedictory address.
The valedictory function commenced with the prayer song rendered by the NSS students. Mr. Roshan Santhumayor Vice Principal of Padua College spoke highly about the excellent arrangements provided in the camp including accommodation and food. Besides, they found the educational discourses organized in the afternoon and evening highly useful and interesting. He also mentioned about their experience in the camp and all of them were unanimous in their opinion that the camp was a great success due to the thorough preparations that was done much in advance.
There was happiness on the face of all the campers as the seven-days long camp had successfully come to an end. Various Cultural Events was conducted by NSS students and by Parishioners which led to the great end of this seven days camp.
