April 1, 2018 : The Easter Celebration at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Nirmalpadav commenced at 7 pm on Saturday 31st March 2018, with the blessing of the new fire by Rev. Fr. Vincent Lobo, Parish Priest. The Easter Calendar was lit and carried to the Altar calling on people to walk in the light of Risen Christ.

Rev Fr. Vincent Lobo, the main Celebrant sang the Exultet - the Easter Hymn. Four readings from the Sacred Scriptures gave a glimpse of the salvation story of Israel and mankind in general.

Fr. Vincent preaching on the occasion called the faithful to believe in the resurrection of Jesus which is essential to one’s salvation. We have to understand the meaning of resurrection. He also explained the importance of Candle, Blessed Water in this Easter Celebration. We have to carry forward Jesus’ mission by becoming his true apostles being the witnesses of the Risen Lord, be it in our neighbourhood, be it in our parish or in the society.

Later water was blessed and baptismal vows were renewed. Later blessing water was sprinkled on the entire congregation. At the end, Fr Vincent Lobo, Parish Priest, extended the greetings of Easter to all and invoked the blessings of the Risen Christ on all the parishioners. He also thanked each and every one who had helped in the smooth conduct of all the services during the Holy week.

After the solemn Easter Mass, Surprise Delicious Easter Fellowship Dinner was arranged for the Faithful on behalf of Easter Eve by Rev Fr Vincent Lobo, Parish Priest.
