On March 8th Catechism Day and Women's Day was jointly celebrated in our parish. The liturgy of the mass was conducted by the children and women. After the mass there was a formal function organised by Catechism and Women Commission. Karkala Deanery Animator of Stree Sangantan Sr. Pramila, Sr. Vanitha, Fr. Vincent Lobo, Vice President, Secretary, Mr. Thukaraam from DEED organisation were on the dais. Mrs. Alice Castellino welcomed all. Mr. Tukaraam gave information about the protection of women rights.
Prizes were distributed to the children who scored highest marks in the examinations and who had the 100% attendance for catechism classes. Cultural programme was conducted by women representing their SHG groups and children representing their classes. MC of the programme was Mrs. Ophilia D'Souza. Vote of thanks was given by Miss Joslin Lobo. The programme ended by serving refreshments.
